How many discount store brand folding outdoor chaise chairs have you bought over time? My answer is probably on the order of six or seven of them. If you've not reached that total yet - save yourself and get a genuine piece of furniture for your backyard instead. It is smarter money, lasts much longer, is far more comfortable and is an attractive addition to any backyard that lacks one.

The adage, you get what you pay for is certainly true of folding outdoor chaise chairs. Some of those I've owned were so inexpensive purchasing them was not unlike making the decision to buy a beach towel or some sunscreen. Some I bought two of. Some cost a little more and maybe lasted a few weeks or maybe evens as much as a month longer, but the situation remains quite inevitable. The aluminum tubing ends up bending so that it forgets to stop reclining, or it becomes stuck in a pseudo-cocked position binding you in such a way that you momentarily resemble a mouse in a trap.

It's either that or that plastic tube wrapping either comes undone leaving gaping holes, or it stretches out completely so that it barely holds you off the ground when you sit in it. If you're lucky you'll get the former - which clearly says 'don't even think about sitting on me', in lieu of the later which lies in wait in hope for a chance to show off your least attractive asset - pun intended.

Of course if you're lucks holds out and you escape any of those fates you'll more certainly and eventually experience one that simply collapses under you suddenly some moments after you sit on it. If you doubt this simply watch an episode or two of funniest home videos and you'll see what I mean. They're just not very sturdy any way you cut it.

Now, contrast that with a typical hotel outdoor chaise one might find around the pool. They're made of a myriad of materials - aluminum, resin, powder coat steel, and yes some even in wood. They're superior with respect to weather resistance, comfort, longevity, and much sturdier. With the current crop of outdoor chaise loungers you will find a delirious number of stunningly attractive options to coordinate with other patio furniture such as umbrellas and tables.

Spend more time outdoors and do it comfortably and in style with a serious outdoor chaise lounge. You'll be reminded of your superior decision every time you see someone struggling with one of those mouse trap models.
